Our FIRST CD.... There's a lot to like on this CD. San Francisco legends in their own time doing brand new songs you'll love listening to. A little jazz, rhythm & blues, country, novelty, and pop. A great musical variety from beginning to end.
Maria Muldaur doing a country song worthy of Patsy Cline. Kathi McDonald doing a soulful jazz "We Belong There" in the best tradition of Billie Holiday. Boom Carter (drummer with Springsteen) belts out "You Make My Clothes Fall Off" and Lorin Rowen will wake you up with "I Got a Life" and fills you with sweet jazz with "Angeless". Ben Perkoff plays Tenor, Baritone, and Sopranino sax worthy of a Grammy (we can all hope).
Pete Sears (from Moon Alice and the Starship) will show you why he's still in so much demand with his piano. Greg Douglass (formerly with Steve Miller) can Pick guitar like no one else, while Freddie Roulette can play the most unique haunting lap steel slide guitar. Bay area bassman Steve Webber plays a cool stand-up and electric bass, and Bobby Riddell along with Boom Carter handle the drums with a cooking Lonnie "Showtime" Walter on congas. Bluesman Nick Gravenites lends his unique voice to "A Beer a Gin and a Joint" with harmoney and harmonica by none other than the great Norton Buffalo. Norton also rocks us with a real boogie thumping "Lady Luck".
Famous piano man and arranger George Michalski kicks it all off with "I Got A Life" and rocks it on a song that Boom Carter nails! Tastefully smooth and local favorite Si Perkoff shows his talents on several cool songs. As a bonus, we've remixed a 1981 song titled Public Enemy #1 featuring two Bay Area favorites John Cipollina and Pee Wee Ellis!
